About the Artist
Charise Johnson is an ambitious, passionate leader who dedicates her life to serving others. After graduating from Grand Valley State University, Charise dedicated almost 2 years of service through an AmeriCorp program helping in high-need communities and schools. After working within a DPS school, Charise went out to serve communities by raising awareness of substance use and giving community members tools to educate and combat the issues. Charise Johnson wants to use her passion for storytelling to inspire and encourage others to be the best version of themselves and hopes she achieved that by working with Shifting Urban Narratives.
